- Users who download the data provide their name and e-mail address in a Qualtrics survey whose results will be stored on the UvA Qualtrics platform, which is GDPR compliant.
- We collect user information via the survey for two purposes: to obtain aggregate statistics of the ECAV user base, such as the number of users and their geographic distribution, and to notify users by e-mail of updated versions of our database. User data will never be shared with any third parties.
- If you register for the data download, you agree to receive infrequent e-mail notifications about database updates and corrections. If you do not want to receive these e-mails, please email us so that we can remove your email address.
- No information about user behavior on the ecavdata.org website will be stored. For verification purposes, the website may use authentication methods such as cookies during the time a user is logged in on our website. Access to the website is logged in anonymous form, with the visitors’ IP addresses removed.
